During a stop on his 4:44 tour at the Oracle Arena in Oakland Saturday, JAY-Z spotted a fan in the crowd holding up a sign saying, “I’ve beat cancer twice. Selfie or hug?” He then paused the show and invited her on stage to join him.

In a video captured by an audience member, JAY-Z reads fan Christina Cruz’s sign aloud: “I Beat Cancer 2X 2 C U! I LOVE U!!! SELFIE OR HUG?” and opts for both a photo and a hug, and goes on to offer the fan some words of encouragement saying, “You beat cancer twice; you can do anything.”

Cruz later took to social media to express gratitude and even more excitement, captioning an Instagram post, “I can’t believe he pulled me on stage and I got to hug him not once but twice!!! Truly a dream come true!! Thank you Jay-Z!”
