A week out from the arrival of his sophomore studio album, Knxwledge is still throwing up freebies on his Bandcamp page.
Yesterday, the Stones Throw producer dropped new installments of his ongoing Hexual Sealings and WrapTaypes series, respectively. The former featured remixes of songs from Alicia Keys, Thundercat, Khruangbin, Ari Lennox and more. And in the latter, the looper exemplar stashed an edit of JAY-Z‘s “Song Cry” that should offer some ease and calm in trying times, pairing the Brooklyn rapper’s romance raps with a breezy late-80s r&b ballad.
Both projects were released on Bandcamp yesterday, when the streamer waived its fee and offered artists 100% of sales in an attempt to bolster support for musicians in the wake of COVID-19 shutdowns across the country.
Listen to Knxwledge’s glistening remix of “Song Cry” below. Head over to his Bandcamp page for the full tape and hold tight for the release of his new album 1988 on March 27th.
