J.Cole Announces His New Album, ‘KOD,’ is Dropping This Week

A new J. Cole album is on the way

On Monday, J. Cole put up a post on his social media accounts telling his New York City-based fans to come to Gramercy Theatre in New York City.

No phones. No cameras. No bags. No press list. No guest list.

There, fans got to hear J. Cole’s new album, his fifth. As soon as fans left, the post went up. Here’s everything we know about the album.  

The album is called KOD. It is being released on Friday, April 20th.

This is something that was confirmed by J. Cole himself on Twitter:

According to people who were in attendance, the album is 12 tracks long. There are no features, and he made it in the span of two weeks.

Brian “B.Dot” Miller, co-host of the RapRadar podcast, was in the building. Here’s what he said:

This will be the first J. Cole album since 2016, when he released 4 Your Eyez Only.
