Ghostface Killah has remixed Silk Sonic‘s hit song “Leave the Door Open.”
On Tuesday, Peter Rosenberg tweeted that Ghostface had sent over his remix of the Anderson .Paak and Bruno Mars track, adding that he was going to premiere it today (Wednesday) on Hot 97.
Well, a snippet of the remix has surfaced on social media, which finds the Wu-Tang Clan member offering some bars over the track as he calls up a love interest.
It’s unknown if this is an official remix. If it is though, hopefully it’ll be released soon, so at the very least we’d have something sort of new from Silk Sonic. .Paak and Bruno have yet to release any new material as Silk Sonic but it’s working in their favor. The duo has performed “Leave the Door Open” at a handful of award shows, and even won BET’s Best Group Award at this year’s BET Awards, despite only having that one song out.
As for Ghostface, the rapper is prepping for a tour in October with fellow Wu members GZA and Raekwon. The 25-date sprint will commence on October 1 in Minneapolis, hitting Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Detroit, and plenty of stages in between, before closing out the tour in Indianapolis on December 18th. Each rapper will perform material from a specific project in their respective catalog. GZA is set to revisit songs from Liquid Swords, Ghostface Killah will tap into Ironman, and Raekwon will perform tracks from Only Built 4 Cuban Linx.
