The title track explores race relations in America, displacement, and ownership.

“F*uck you. I’m America’s son / This is where I come from… this land is mine” are standout lyrics from the song.

Produced by Clark himself, the project allows for his full range of artistry to be displayed, incorporating all of the genres that have inspired his creation and sound— from funk, to punk, to soul, to classic rock.

“This album was meant to sound like D’Angelo, Parliament Funkadelic and Cream,” Clark Jr. said in a statement. “Someone asked me why I made such an expansive album. I said, if I didn’t get it out of me, I was going to explode. It’s all just soul music.”
