Report: G Herbo Arrested and Charged With Battery

The alleged assault took place after a verbal altercation.

G Herbo has been arrested and charged with battery.

The 23-year-old Chicago rapper was reportedly involved in a verbal dispute with the mother of his son, Ariana Fletcher before allegedly assaulting her.

According to a TMZ report, Atlanta Police Department says the incident took place Wednesday morning. Herbo and Fletcher were reportedly yelling at each other before the rapper left the location with their son. Authorities say he later returned, spoke to officers, and was then arrested for simple battery.

Fletcher sustained minor scratches during the altercation.

TMZ reports Herbo, Fletcher, and her new partner, boxer Gervonta Davis, were all present at the same nightclub on Tuesday night, but it is unclear what prompted the incident. Authorities are continuing the investigation.

Herbo's bond has been set at $2,000.
