R. Kelly is back on his bullshit

On Monday (July 23rd)R. Kelly released a 19-minute song called "I Admit."

It's atrocious.

On the track, R.Kelly addresses a number of the controversiesand criminal accusations swirling around him. He sings about his past pedophiliacase, the ongoing allegations that he is running a sex cult, Spotify banning his songs from promoted playlists, and more.

At one point he mentions Aaliyah, who he married when she was 15, singing:

Now Wendy Williams mad with me

But I aint never offered her no drink

But Ill admit that she asked me,

Can I get a little Hennessey?

Then we both turned off our phones

We drinked, I smoked, we talked

And I admit that I told it all

From my good points to my faults

She said, What about Aaliyah?

I said, Love

She said, What about the tape?

I said, Hush

I said, My lawyer said, Dont say noth

But I can tell you I've been set up

Yeah.

As soon as the song was released it was met with an icy reception. First, there was scorn and disbelieve. Eventually, like most things that make its way to Twitter, people just started laughing at it.

This goes for celebrities, too, who couldn't help but comment on the track. With the exception of screwball rapper Lil B, who seemed to like the emotion displayed on the song, most celebrities on Twitter thought it was fucking dumb and couldn't believe it was nearly 20 minutes long.
