"I'm done with, you know, that Madlib album, so I just been sitting on that," he said. "I mean I got money. I don't gotta put it out yet. I'm straight, I'm good. I could put it out when it's time to put it out, but that's the beauty of this."

Gibbs then spoke on why he decided to release Freddie over Bandana, telling the hosts:

"I just wasn't ready yet. I wanted to do something else first. I was like, 'Man, I wanna do this first.' I don't wanna put that out yet 'cause I feel like, I don't know, that might be my last project."

In a separate recent interview with Beats 1 host Ebro Darden, Gibbs spoke about being jailed overseas after being charged with sexual assault in Austria.

"I always was one that would dog people that was going to get mental health counseling, but I really needed that when I left there," Gibbs, who was acquitted of the charges, said. "We're in a time right now with all this Me Too stuff - it's a lot of guys being attacked."

"So I feel like I got to be an advocate for those people falsely accused as well as the victims that's afraid to speak," he added. "I got a daughter. God forbid anybody do anything to her, so I gotta stand on that."
