Charlie Wilson & Ron Isley Join Fetty Wap for "Sweet Yamz" Remix

The Fetty Wap track "Sweet Yamz" became a viral sensation during the holiday season. Now there is a remix with Charlie Wilson and Ron Isley.

Fetty Wap won the holiday season. Although the 31-year-old is currently incarcerated, Fetty Wap, real name Willie Junior Maxwell II caught a vibe on "Sweet Yamz," a remake of the 2021 Masego and Devin Morrison track "Yamz." Just weeks after "Sweet Yamz" debut, Charlie Wilson and Ron Isley of The Isley Brothers have joined Fetty Wap on the remix.

After the New Jersey-raised artist heard the original version of "Yamz," he remade it as a special "Zoomix." The song also marks Maxwell's first release as a lead artist since 2021.

“I really connected with the original song ‘Yamz’ from the first time I heard it earlier this year," he commented. "It makes me think of one of my favorite cities, Miami. I immediately knew I wanted to flip it and had to do a Zoomix!”

Singing "Sweet Yamz" praises (literally) include Charlie Wilson and Snoop Dogg who's declared it "song of the year."

Currently facing five to nine years in prison, Maxwell plead guilty to a drug charge in August, admitting that he conspired to sell cocaine. In 2021, Maxwell was arrested before his Rolling Loud New York performance, pleading not guilty to conspiracy to distribute and possess controlled substances. Maxwell was one of six people charged in the case, alleged with being a part of a drug ring that distributed heroin, fentanyl, cocaine and crack throughout Long Island and New Jersey.
