Enjoy #Eclipse2017 By Streaming Goldwash’s Soulfully Fused New EP ‘Episode’
Los Angeles-based artist Goldwash reveals his EP, Episode, to the masses. Stream this gorgeous fusion of jazz, indie + electronica below.
Written over the course of his first year in Los Angeles, singer-songwriter Goldwash can now celebrate the fruits of his labor as Episode, his brand new EP, is available for streaming.
The four-track effort already features the standout cuts “Why Hide It” and the title track, but you should really have your speakers on tilt for the songs “Get Me Like You” and “Won’t Cry”. Episode, which is an experiment in fusing jazz, indie and electronica, finds Goldwash creating a unique sound that he describes as “existential funk”.
“[Episode] is not intended to be narrative, but all the songs have to do with the uncertainty of my first year out of school, navigating relationships, independence, desires, needs,” Goldwash said about his project. “I wanted the music to be lush and polished without losing the raw edges that inspired it. I wanted the track to balance these feelings of lightness and heaviness, with pizzicato strings and heavy drums.”
Big things are in store for the London-born, Baltimore-raised, L.A.-based musician, as Episode is proven to make you dance-while-you-cry music that is enjoyable and memorable.
