When he's not starting new companies or scheming up ways to conduct billion dollar social experiments at humanity's expense, apparently, Elon Musk is out here reviving ancient memes as inspiration for some type of musical career.

Yesterday, the Tesla founder shared a two-minute auto-tuned-to-death tribute to Harambe, the Cincinnati Zoo gorilla subjected to an internet afterlife when it was killed in response to a child scaling its enclosure. Like many of Musk's ventures, the track has the trimmings of a decent idea, but upon closer examination, reveals itself to be an objective mess.

It marks the tech mind's first (and hopefully, last) attempt at being culturally relevant in a space below the stratosphere. The only thing worth retaining: this is Elon Musk's approximation of music. And a relationship with Grimes apparently had little, if any, measurable impact.
