Drake Doesn't Seem Too Stressed About 'Rich Flex' Memes

In an interview with online casino Stake, Drake brought up Her Loss tracks and its accompanying memes, including "Rich Flex."

Drake is brushing off the haters. During a Q&A session with online casino Stake, the Her Loss artist spoke about his 21 Savage-assisted album spawning a trend of memes, many targeting Drake himself.

“We were out last night at this spot, and this girl was like — it was loud and she was drunk — but she was like, ‘How does it feel that everyone’s always making fun of you? I wouldn’t be able to take it,'” he said around the 8:45 mark of the 21-minute video.  “But she was, like, talking about memes because ‘Rich Flex’ was on. You know, the song off Her Loss. She was like, 'How does it feel?'"

Instead of taking offense to the memes, it seems that Drake has accepted it, especially as Her Loss had the biggest Billboard debut of any hip-hop album in 2022.

“I was just like, you know what, I understand after all these years that, I feel like I have a polarizing presence," he continued. "I’m almost a character in people’s movies and therefore there’s a running a dialogue. There’s jokes, you’re either the villain to some people or hero to some people. It is what it is, it just comes with the territory."

The Grammy-winning rapper and singer, 36, also acknowledged that he's able to manage a "split opinion" after 15 years of being an artist.

“But ultimately, I’ve just found a way,” he said. “I’ve always been able to laugh at myself, but I really do feel now that I mentally am able to separate the two. So I just want to stay in that zone, that’s kinda my resolution. I feel really good right now.”
