Dr. Dre Boasts About His Daughter Getting into USC "All On Her Own"...6 Years After Donating $70 Million

Awkward.

In an Instagram post that has since been deleted, Dr. Dre championed his daughter for being accepted into The University of Southern California's film school "all on her own."

Intended as a humble brag in the face of the recent college admissions bribery scandal, Dre quipped about their being "no jail time." A ton of contemporaries (Diddy, Busta Rhymes, and T.I.) congratulated the producer on his daughter's achievement. But others noted the $70 million donation Dre made with Beats co-founder, Jimmy Iovine, in 2013 and quickly took a screenshot (see it below.)

Their donation established The Jimmy Iovine and Andre Young Academy for Arts, Technology and the Business of Innovation. The program has been running since 2014 and will have a dedicated building by the end of this year. The post's disappearance has incited even more speculation over Dre's financial ties to the school (which was implicated in the scandal.) It could also just be a case of poor timing. 50 people (many of which are high-profile Hollywood parents,) have been indicted in the admissions bribery fallout, including Lori Laughlin, Massimo Giannulli, and Felicity Huffman.
