DMX Ordered to Pay $2.3 Million In Tax Evasion Case

DMX is serving one year in prison over a tax evasion case.

A judge has ordered DMX to pay $2.3 million in compensation for tax evasion.

The 47-year-old rapper was sentenced to one year in prison last month after pleading guilty in court.

According to a TMZ report, the judge will allow him to pay in monthly installments of 10 percent of his gross monthly income starting two months after he is released from prison. 

The judge is requiring that the Yonkers emcee have supervision for the next three years. He is also required to participate in an outpatient substance abuse program and an outpatient mental health program.

DMX has been in jail since January after failing a drugs test following his arrest.

The judge also reportedly recommended that he stay at the Danbury Federal Correctional Facility in Connecticut, the supposed inspiration for Netflix’s Orange is the New Black.
