The Lion King remake is going to be the movie of 2019

After months of rumors and speculation, Disney has officially announced the cast for the live action Lion King remake.

The biggest surprise: Beyonc is the co-lead, playing Nala, Simba's love interest. It's been known for months that Donald Glover will be playing Simba and that James Earl Jones will be reprising his role as Mufasa.

The movie will be directed by Jon Favreau. It's expected to be released summer 2019.
