Kenneth Carey, the victim has threatened to sue the rising artist, but his legal team has shared there is a way to avoid this. His lawyers have reached out to DaBaby "in hopes of settling this matter expeditiously."

The report also shares that Carey is giving DaBaby until the end of the week to get back to them.

This forthcoming drop could be the follow-up to his chart-topping album KIRK.

DaBaby took to Instagram after his release from jail to tease new music he’s been working on. He reportedly posted $1,500 bond following his arrest in Miami

The North Carolina bred artist was seen on Instagram Live sitting in a car and flexing a wad of cash as he rapped along to the unreleased track. In the clip he mentions his Grammy nomination for Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song for “Suge.”

DaBaby (Johnathan Kirk) was recently arrested on battery and robbery charges in Miami on January 2, according to TMZ. We previously reported that the rapper assaulted a concert promoter named Kenneth after being promised an additional $10,000 to host a party. He was paid $20,000 before the incident, the promoter and rapper reportedly agreed upon a $30,000 discounted rate.

Additionally, the assault was captured on camera. The promoter alleges he had to get checked out by a doctor because of his injuries. He also claims the video is difficult for his loved ones to watch.

A few months ago, the rapper’s second studio album, KIRK debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 chart. Each song from the release appeared on the Billboard 100 chart back in 2019. His meteoric rise last year was undeniable.
