DaBaby was the musical guest on last night’s episode of Saturday Night Live.
Carrying a lackluster outing hosted by Jennifer Lopez, the Charlotte rapper rallied his “BOP” brigade to reenact the single’s visual, even clearing some space for The Jabbawockeez to float in. For his second performance, DaBaby donned the faux-muscle mock turtleneck, bringing his breakout single “Suge”‘ to the stage with equal force (and another assist from the legendary masked steppers.) But it didn’t end there. Between performances, the rapper appeared in a sketch with Lopez, Kenan Thompson, Chris Redd, and Pete Davidson, as the “hip-hop carolers.”
This week’s episode opened the final stretch of the show’s 2019 schedule, closing the year with Eddie Murphy’s return to host on December 21st and Lizzo as his musical guest.
