Conway the Machine Drops Alchemist-Produced "LULU" EP, Video for "Calvin"

The seven-track project features verses from Cormega and Schoolboy Q.

The Alchemist and Griselda Records are keeping their foot on the gas. On the heels of The Price of Tea in China and The Good Book Vol. 1 & 2, Alc has returned, this time with a seven-track offering with Conway, LULU.

LULU is the Buffalo MC's first solo release since 2019's Look What I Became. Last week, he dropped "Shoot Sideways" featuring Schoolboy Q. Queens veteran Cormega drops a guest verse on "They Got Sonny."

Additionally, the duo released the video for "Calvin," a gritty collaboration with director Jason Goldwatch. Goldwatch and Alchemist joined forces for the performance art group Media Muerte. Additionally, Goldwatch directed videos like 88-Keys and Kanye West's "Stay Up! (Viagra)," Kid Cudi's viral hit "CudderisBack," and Jay Electronica's "Dimethyltryptamine."

While Goldwatch's filmography skews more towards silly and lighthearted, "Calvin" is as morbid as the on-wax collaboration. At one point, Conway two-steps with a makeshift corpse over his shoulders. Stream the full video above.

LULU was produced by the Dutch streetwear brand Patta. According to Complex, the three parties will release a capsule collection with the project in the near future. "These are longtime friends of mine," Alc told Complex. "They reached out. They loved Conway, and they connected a couple of years back, and we all been cool. So we just merged."

LULU is available on all major streaming platforms.
