Since Col3trane's sound skitters in the R&B genre, with “Bag” he’s revealing a taste of his debut album, Lush Life set to arrive later this year. 

Col3trane and Lucky Daye have snuck up and revealed “Bag,” a new single. 

Ahead of what’s to be his debut album (Lush Life), British Coltran3 who has cut his teeth by packing out venues in the UK drops off a track perfect for cuffing season. A few years back he was opening sold-out shows for Dua Lipa, and now, he’s perfecting his craft.

Alongside the release, Brandon Blackwood, New York-based handbag designer, and Col3trane connected on a campaign. In an email, the singer shares: 

“I’ve always been interested in bridging the gap between different mediums of expression whether it be fashion, film, music, whatever. So I’m glad to be able to do that with a brand I admire.”

Since Col3trane's sound skitters in the R&B genre, with “Bag” he’s revealing a taste of what he’s been working on. “[This song] is about giving everything you can to someone,” he also shared in an email. “I wrote this song with Lucky and Camper on Lucky’s birthday around October 2020.” He adds he sat on it for a while, made multiple versions of it alongside composer/producer Camper who later laid all the keys and bell pads in roughly three hours including the separate solos. 

What was brought into fruition is a slinky cut that's enough to keep fans tuned in as he preps his upcoming album. We’re hoping a video comes next from the duo. 

Lush Life is slated for a release later this year.
