Chloe x Halle Drop the “Do It” Remix Featuring City Girls, Doja Cat

Chloe x Halle brought in reinforcements on the remix.

On Friday, Chloe x Halle released the official remix to their latest single, “Do It.” This time around, they’re joined by the City Girls, Mulatto and Doja Cat. Stream the track below.

Chloe x Halle teased the forthcoming surprise on Instagram on Thursday, simply telling their followers “surprise coming Friday!”

Back in May, the original track became the group’s first entry on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number 83. The track peaked at number three on the R&B Digital Song Sales chart, their first top five appearance on that chart. The group’s second studio album, Ungodly Hour, debuted at number 16 on the Billboard 200 chart.

Even with the pandemic, it’s been a record-setting year for Chloe x Halle. The duo recently performed at the 2020 MTV VMAs, where “Do It” earned three nominations for Best R&B and Best Quarantine Performance. Rolling Stone recently named Ungodly Hour the 44th best album of the year so far. Last week, the duo also performed at the Chase Sound Check show alongside Khalid and Kane Brown before this year’s U.S. OPEN.

“I just want people to get the feeling that I get listening to older music,” Chloe recently told Okayplayer when asked about the album’s lasting legacy, decades from now. “I want them to have that feeling where it feels so timeless but still so fresh. That’s what I hope for. I hope it’s still inspiring.”

Check out the “Do It” remix on all major digital streaming platforms.
