Chance The Rapper and Vic Mensa’s Black Star Line lineup has been revealed, including Erykah Badu, T-Pain, Tobe Nwigwe and Jeremih.

With 2023 around the corner, the all-star lineup for Chance the Rapper and Vic Mensa‘s Black Star Line Festival is here. On Friday (November 18), the “Child of God” rapper revealed acts that will be performing at the Accra, Ghana music festival, including Erykah Badu, T-Pain, Sarkodie, Jeremih, Tobe Nwigwe, Asakaa Boys, and M.anifest with more guests to be announced.

Chance also shared that tickets for the free concert will be available on Monday, November 21. Prior to dropping the Black Star Line Festival lineup, Chance released new song “YAH Know” in anticipation of his sophomore album Star Line Gallery. The album will serve as the follow-up to Chance The Rapper’s 2019 album The Big Day,

“I was inspired by Marcus Garvey in the early 1900s, 1919 through actually 1922, so 100 years ago now,” Chance said when discussing his upcoming project in an August interview with Sway In The Morning. “He started and ran this very important, integral shipping line. He had a fleet of ships, these giant ocean liners which are the size of cruise ships, that he owned and funded with common Black folks’ money.”

He added, “When I think about the Black Star Line and all the spaces that it’s been in, the Black Star is the representation of Ghana, in their flag, in the fabric of how their country was set up,” Chance said. “They believe in global Blackness, Black connectivity and a free Africa.”
