Chance The Rapper Responds to Album Criticism: “Some People Want Me to Feel Ashamed”

Chance The Rapper shared his thoughts on some of the criticisms aimed at his latest effort.

The rapper tweeted an emotional response to the negative reception of his album, The Big Day on Monday (August 5).

The album, Chance’s highest-charting project so far, fell behind Christian rapper NF’s The Search— the number one album in the country for the week ending August 1st.

The theme of Chance’s debut album focused on his marriage, which spawned memes and jokes from fans and critics alike. Despite its performance on the charts, the rapper has been criticized for his artistic shift in the last few years. In a series of emotional tweets, he addressed the critiques.
