Chance The Rapper is speaking out on the sexual assault allegations of his peers and friends.
On Wednesday, the 25-year-old Chicago rapper took to Twitter to address the allegations, writing, “I’ve heard too many stories of domestic abuse, sexual violence and rape perpetrated by ppl I called friends. I am ashamed of yall. These stories will be amplified and your victims will receive the justice they deserve.”

The statement follows allegations made against two of his peers. Rape accusations against the Chicago rapper Towkio and Chance collaborator surfaced over the weekend stemming from a 2016 encounter.
A woman also accused Chance The Rapper’s drummer, Stix, of sexual misconduct during an incident that occurred about eight years ago.
Towkio was once a member of the SAVEMONEY crew alongside Chance The Rapper, Vic Mensa, and Joey Purp.
In another tweet she posted the same day, the woman alleged Stix tried to sexually assault her, writing, “He pushed me in a room, closed the door, turned off the light & put his hands down my pants,” she wrote in a tweet. “I rejected his sexual advances and immediately left the room.”

The revelations emerged after the new Lifetime docuseries Surviving R. Kelly aired.
Chance appeared in the last episode of the serie and admitted to writer Jamilah Lemieux that “making a song with R. Kelly was a mistake.”
