That awesome, innovative band from Montreal returns with an uplifting single called “Common Ground”.

Busty and the Bass are back and in full effect since traveling around Europe for their tour. The nine-piece band, who just announced their debut album Uncommon Good, drops a new single to celebrate their next moves with a video for the song, “Common Ground”.

“At the core of ‘Common Ground,’ we’re talking about the people we love and feel a connection or similarity to, whom we don’t appreciate enough. So for one of us that’s a grandparent, for one of us it’s an old friend or a lover, but we all feel something real when we play it live,” the band shared with us exclusively.

Filmed during the band’s spring European tour, “Common Ground” features the musicians at their most intimate, enabling fans to get an up-close-and-personal look at those behind-the-scenes moments. Travel along with Busty and the Bass as they hit the people with that good sounds in France, Germany, and Denmark, as well as some staged moments through locations in each city visited.

The band, who is currently signed to Indica Records (Half Moon Run, Phantogram), is finally readying their debut full-length album. Combining their love of funk, soul, hip-hop, gospel and dance, Busty and the Bass is one of the baddest in the land when it comes to delivering unified sounds for the masses. “Uncommon Good represents a much more developed and mature version of our sound,” vocalist and synth player Evan Crofton said. “It saw us moving away from the home-basement tracking that we did ourselves to a more encompassing studio environment.”

Watch “Common Ground” below and keep an eye out as Busty and the Bass will be opening up for Anderson .Paak at the Montreal Jazz Festival on July 8th.
