Braxton Cook Releases The “Pariah (Kiefer Remix)” From His Debut LP ‘Somewhere In Between’
One of our favorite musicians, Braxton Cook, has enlisted Los Angeles producer and pianist Kiefer to re-interpret his original cut, “Pariah,” boy does it swing.
The name Braxton Cook should be familiar to you know as the the singer and saxophonist has endeared himself to audiophiles with his debut LP, Somewhere In Between. His style of originality and free-flow riffs made Braxton Cook one to watch, so it was only right that for the remix to one of his standout songs that he brought someone else as equally attention-grabbing.
Enter Los Angeles producer and pianist, Kiefer, who takes “Pariah” and flips it into a bass-filled new groove and replaces the original piano with his own solo in its place. Put out for consumption by Fresh Selects, Kiefer mentioned that this is the first remix he’s ever done, which means we hope there are many more to come.
Sadly, he has already shot us down in saying that it’s likely to be “the last remix he does for anyone,” but we here at Okayplayer have a cool way of tipping the scales in our favor.
The “Pariah (Kiefer Remix)” single is out now and available for purchase (http://smarturl.it/braxtonkiefer). You aan listen cut yourself below.
