Bilal is Currently Live Streaming Himself Recording a New EP

Bilal is partnering with HighBreedMusic to record the new project.

Grammy-winning vocalist Bilal is offering fans a one-of-a-kind experience. On Friday, the member of the Soulquarians is currently live-streaming a three-track experimental album on YouTube. Watch the full broadcast below.

For the entire weekend, Bilal will be joined by over 25 musicians, including but not limited to Keyon Harrold, Madison McFerrin, Marcus Strickland, Yahzarah Sinclair, Ray Angry, Ben Williams, Brandee Younger, Big Yuki, Melanie Charles, Marcus Gilmore, Louis Cato, and more.

“Showcasing the progression from idea to album,” reads a press release, “Bilal and friends will reminisce, laugh, write, record, produce, and mix one song per day from scratch. Viewers will have rare access to this traditionally private world of song creation and album production–for free. Viewers will also be able to observe as three visual artists, one per song, create the artwork for the EP–while the music is being recorded.”

The EP is available for pre-order only for this weekend. Fans will also be able to support with donations. Proceeds from sales and donations will be shared among the participants.

“This is an incredible opportunity,” the release continues, “to observe the magic and camaraderie of some of the music industry’s most exciting artists working together in their element, building new music, one piece at a time.”

Bilal’s most recent release is 2013’s A Love Surreal. The project debuted at number one on iTunes’ R&B charts and number 17 on Billboard‘s Independent Albums charts.

Stream the daily sessions on HighBreedMusic’s Youtube channel.
