The festival will take place on Saturday, April 18.

In the last few years, musicians have increasingly embraced the festival circuit. Some have even begun organizing festivals of their own. The latest in that latter group is none other than Big Boi of OutKast.

On Tuesday afternoon, the legendary MC announced Kryptonite Fest. The festival will take place on Saturday, April 18 at the Cadence Bank Ampitheater in Atlanta's Chastain Park.

"I've been waiting so long to have my very own festival," he said on Instagram. "To have it in my city is a dream come true and we can't wait to share the family affair with you. Much love from the bottom of my heart." Presale tickets are available at the festival's official website. Use the code 'Kryptonite' to get early access.

Big Boi joins names like Pharrell Williams, Travis Scott, and J. Cole to get into the festival circuit. Pharrell's Something in the Water tour is building its own yearly tradition in his native Virginia Beach. Scott's inaugural ASTROWORLD festival infamously lured Drake out of a brief hiatus to headline. J. Cole's Dreamville will hit Raleigh, North Carolina for the second year in April.
