As celebrities and the masses celebrated the holiday early this past weekend, Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Diddy, Lil Uzi Vert, Nas, Ciara, and Missy Elliott were among the artists who donned costumes and shared their looks with fans on social media.

Beyoncé dressed as legendary Olympic athlete Florence Griffith Joyner, aka Flo Jo. Jay-Z dressed as Tommie Smith, the Olympic medalist who raised a Black Power Salute at the 1968 games.
As usual, Beyoncé paid tribute to another black culture icon— Toni Braxton. She posted a series of photos on her Instagram captioned,”Sending love and adoration to one of our talented legends. Thank you for the countless bops. Your tone, your beauty, your range, and your God-given talent is treasured. Loving you always. Have a Happy Halloween my Kings and Queens.”

In her signature low-key iconic fashion, Missy Elliott dressed as herself. Diddy was a dancing clown while Nas stepped out as Pinky from Next Friday.
Lil Uzi and Pittsburgh Chevy Woods both dressed up as Batman. G-Eazy dressed as comic villain Harvey Dent/Two Face, while 50 Cent wore a black mask and a hoodie, like a normal NY cat when the weather drops below 40 degrees.
