15 New Hip-Hop & R&B Albums You Should Be Listening To (Week of September 24)

This week Kari Faux, Nao, and Westside Gunn return to share albums that make up our favorite albums of the week. Additional options from D Smoke and Alina Baraz also revealed compelling releases.

The end of the week has finally arrived, and you know that means we’re here again sharing the top albums and projects worth paying attention to. New Music Friday this time around is stacked with a myriad of options spanning rap, R&B and more.

First up we’ve got Kari Faux who returns to drop Lowkey Superstar Deluxe featuring Smino, Yung Baby Tate, and Deante’ Hitchcock;  Nao reveals her newest album And Then Life Was Beautiful; Marcus Atom shares Love vs. War, and newcomer Shaolinn releases her new project, Blackstone

It wouldn’t be right if we didn’t mention Westside Gunn’s exquisite album Hitler Wears Hermes 8 (Side B); another well-produced release arrives from D Smoke: War & Wonders; YoungBoy Never Broke Again serves up Sincerely, Kentrell; and Larry June x Cardo’s Into The Late Night is also worth a spin.

If you’re looking for some feel-good music to take you into the weekend we recommend Theo Croker’s BLK2LIFE || A FUTURE PAST, and Alina Baraz has unleashed an impressive four-track project Sunbeam.

Additional selections on our roundup include drops from Solemn Brigham, Blu, Big Jade and Lakeyah.
