The Beastie Boys‘ commemorative parade will rage on well through the year.
Today, the group announced anniversary vinyl reissues of three albums from their catalog — Paul’s Boutique, Ill Communication, To The 5 Boroughs — each hitting a different five-year milestone in 2019. For its 30th anniversary, Paul’s Boutique will be pressed to both standard black 180g wax and limited edition violet-colored vinyl. Celebrating 25 years, Ill Communication will don a metallic silver-colored acetate, while To The 5 Boroughs‘ 15th-anniversary edition will feature a cool blue vinyl pressing. All three pressings are slated to arrive on October 4th.
In addition to the three studio album reissues, the group will be releasing the remixes of “Root Down” as an EP on orange, green, red, and blue vinyl. The reissues follow the release of the Still Ill documentary and the arrival of five EPs featuring remixes and live takes of Paul’s Boutique-era gems.
You can catch a glimpse of the packaging for the upcoming Beastie Boys vinyl reissues below. Hit your local shop for the plug on October 4th.
