Armani Caesar and Benny the Butcher Link Up for “Simply Done”

Armani Caesar drops her first solo track alongside a star-studded lineup.

Griselda‘s first lady Armani Caesar has arrived. After a guest verse on Westside Gunn’s “Lil Cease,” on Wednesday she dropped “Simply Done,” featuring Benny the Butcher. The track was produced by the legendary DJ Premier.

Caesar celebrated the release on Instagram.

“Dream come true!” she wrote. “This is legendary shit! To have somebody like this that’s worked with all the GREATS stamp MY record is rare air! @westsidegunn told me this is just the beginning, but this right here is definitely a HUGE milestone and I’m so thankful for him believing in me!”

In an interview with HipHopDX, Caesar spoke about coming from a long line of musicians.

“I started recording as a teenager,” she said. “But I was writing rhymes at like 8 or 9 years old. My mom was in a choir, my grandma was a huge hip-hop head, my uncle was a DJ. It’s literally just in my genes to do music.”

The Buffalo native dropped her first project, Hand Bag Addict, back in 2011. After a brief hiatus to start an online boutique, she recently returned to the rap game. Caesar says she’ll announce her first project on Griselda within the next few weeks.

“Nothing was given,” she continued. “I worked my ass off for this, pushed my pen and never gave up and I gotta thank God bc this is definitely His work! I can’t wait to drop this project! Yall gonna LOVE it!”

Armani Caesar’s “Simply Done” is available for download on all major digital streaming platforms.
