He sat down with the L.A. Leakers to talk about the making of his upcoming album. At one point, Anderson talked about how Dr. Dre made him lock in with his own album, even while artists were sending him features to do:
I just couldn’t divert the energy…And [Dr.] Dre was big on that too like, “Yo man, just focus on this. Lock in. You got a lot of features out there, you’re kinda straight on that.” I was just like “But this is tight. SZA and Solange… everybody’s sending me stuff, I wanna do stuff.” But you know, I had to really lock in.
