Anderson .Paak Says NxWorries is in "Album Mode"

On Tuesday, Anderson .Paak went to Instagram with a dance clip of his son, Soul, teasing that a NxWorries sophomore album is on the way.

Anderson .Paak supergroup Silk Sonic might be a current top-charting favorite, but NxWorries has next. .Paak went to Instagram and shared a clip of his son Soul dancing to a new NxWorries track. “ALBUM MODE #NxWorries @knxwledge,” .Paak wrote in the caption.

It's been more than five years since .Paak and Knxwledgereleased their debut NxWorries album, Yes Lawd!, on Stones Throw Records. But fans have long-awaited new music, with Black Thought, Amanda Seales and Lalah Hathaway rejoicing in the clip's comment section.

.Paak last spoke of a new NxWorries album on The Zane Lowe Show in October 2020.

“We’re working on a new one,” .Paak said. “I was just over there the other day. You know what I’m saying? We’ve been getting it in. We’ve got a bunch of stuff that we’re really happy about.”

In December 2020, NxWorries debuted their song "Where Do I Go" at Double Happiness Festival, which could make their new album.
While .Paak has a lot to celebrate in the new year, including a Silk Sonic Las Vegas residency, Knxwledge has grappled with the ending of his MEEK mixtape series. Earlier this month, the producer went to social media to express his distain with the series being ended for copyright concerns. Knxwledge claimed that he had permission from videographers to flip their recordings.
“Grab the tapes while you can. To all my heads keeping the raw remixes alive it’s only a matter of time till the art of remixing is fully dead. Be safe, get a lawyer & thanks for always listening,” Knxwledge wrote on his Instagram story at the time. “Thank you to all the hundreds of thousands who didn’t even know who Meek was and is that listened and supported and listen to these verses the same I do. I always thought worse case scenario [Meek Mill] could just use them as interludes or somthing [sic]. Not tryna game fame off of anytime I just wanted them to hear the pain my g.”
