It’s a great time to be an Alchemist fan. Just a month after releasing The Price of Tea in China with Boldy James, Alc has announced an upcoming seven-track mixtape with Conway, the Machine. The project drops next Monday, March 30.
He announced the project on Instagram, tagging the Dutch streetwear brand Patta along with Conway. Conway and his fellow Griselda Records members appeared numerous times on Alchemist’s last few compilation projects.
Back in January, Alchemist released The Good Book, Pt. 1 and 2. Conway appears alongside Westside Gunn on Pt. 2 (God’s Work)‘s track “A Thousand Birds.” The project also features Action Bronson, Domo Genesis, and a rare Mobb Deep record, “Try My Hand.”
Patta and Vincent Van de Wall provided the project’s art direction and design. Eddiemixed the project, while Joe Laporta handled mastering duties at New Jersey’s Sterling Sound. This team previously worked together on tracks like “Fork in the Pot,” “’94 Ghost Shit,” and “Overdose.”
The Alchemist has been highly prolific as of late. In addition to The Good Book series, he closed out 2019 on a strong note. From November, he released Lamb Over Rice with Action Bronson, Layups with The Cool Kids, and Yacht Rock 2, which featured both Bronson and Griselda Records.
On Tuesday, Conway dropped “Shoot Sideways,” featuring Schoolboy Q, a few days early. Check out the first offering from LULU below.
