Action Bronson Announces 'Blue Chips 7000' Release Date, Shares Action-Packed New Video
Mr. Wonderful finally sets a date for his next project
Action Bronson may be VICELAND’s hottest commodity — according to an appearance on Desus & Mero, the next season of Fuck, That’s Delicious has a $10 million budget for its upcoming season — but it appears it’s time to welcome the Queens rapper back to the increasingly weird world of music.
His long-delayed Blue Chips 7000 mixtape is officially on the schedule, set for an August 25th release via VICE/Atlantic. What’s more, the tape has a new single, “The Chairman’s Intent,” which was shared this morning in the release of an action-packed VHS-quality video, filled to the brim with nods to classic kung fu flicks, as well as copious Bronsonisms (body slams, copter chases and the like.) Think of Bronson as a slightly more competent Beverly Hills Ninja. It follows “Let Me Breathe” as the latest single from Blue Chips 7000.
