50 Cent Compares Kanye West To Donald Trump, Calls Jay-Z’s Album “Golf Course Music”
The Power executive producer, 50 Cent, sat down with Conan O’Brien to speak his mind about Kanye West’s confidence and Jay-Z old rapper status.
You should be worried whenever 50 Cent is on television because you never know what he is going to say. The Grammy Award winning MC was a guest on Conan recently, where he talked about a number of hip-hop related things, mainly his two favorite things: Kanye West and Jay-Z.
With his million dollar smile, 50 recalled all of the powerful people that West has drawn parallels to over the years, including Michael Jordan, Walt Disney, Steve Jobs and God. “I think this is a big part of building your self-esteem but building it astronomically. You see yourself as the greatest of everything,” Fif said.
Then the Queens, NY rapper compared the Chicago rap icon with someone no one saw coming. “Trump. It’s the same thing [as Kanye]. It comes from that portion of your career where nobody actually believes it. You have to have so much confidence for it to continue to exist. It builds up so high, he just had a harder time before that.”
Elsewhere in the interview, 50 calls Jay-Z’s 4:44 album, “golf course music,” and explains why the kids wouldn’t be listening to such a project.
