21 Savage Launches Charity On ‘Ellen’ To Teach Kids Financial Literacy

21 Savage loves the kids.

21 Savage graced the stage of The Ellen DeGeneres Show and presented a check for $21,000 in tandem with his new charity dubbed the “21 Savage Bank Account Campaign.”

The Atlanta rapper performed his hit song, “Bank Account” and presented the check as a part of the initiative in partnership with the non-profit organization Get Schooled. Savage says the campaign seeks to helps children learn how to save, make, and manage money as well as how to open up bank accounts. He will also be giving $1,000 to 21 teenagers to help each open a personal bank account.

21 Savage told Rolling Stone, said the song’s success was “ironic” because he “knew almost nothing about bank accounts” when he was younger. “Now that I do have money in my bank account, I want to help kids with a background similar to mine to get smart about their money.”
