112 and Jagged Edge have a special Memorial Day battled planned.

The party is going to be inside this Memorial Day weekend.

Swizz Beatz and Timbaland have announced the latest Verzuz battle: it will feature legendary R&B groups 112 and Jagged Edge going song for song. The two groups will each play 20 of their most iconic songs on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25th.

This weekend will actually feature two Verzuz battles. On Saturday, May 23rd, Beenie Man and Bounty Killer — two artists who’ve had beef in the past — will face off

Interestingly enough, Swizz Beatz planned on taking Memorial Day Weekend off. The legendary producer talked to Variety about the event. He said:

I was going to take Saturday off,” Swizz tells Variety. “But I’m getting a lot of pushback from the artists and the audience to keep it going, especially since it’s a long holiday weekend and everyone is stuck indoors. So I said, ‘I’d better tell Tim we’re going to work this weekend.

Verzuz has been a smashing success for both Swizz and Timbaland. Over the last two months, we’ve seen match-ups like RZA vs. DJ premier, Jill Scott vs. Eryka Badu, and Babyface vs. Teddy Riley. Last weekend, Nelly and Ludacris faced off, picking up over 450,000 viewers in the process.

It doesn’t seem like Verzuz is stopping anytime soon.
