A handful of people are also jealous that the Chappelle’s Show creator was in attendance for the party.

Dave Chappelle has the tendency to pop up randomly at places. He’s crashed a Madlib set with Yasiin Bey before after all. Recently, the famed comedian made an appearance at Kylie Jenner‘s 21st birthday, where he was caught on video singing Lauryn Hill‘s “Ex-Factor.”

There’s also a video of Chappelle and Travis Scott singing The Fugees‘ “Killing Me Softly,” which is a go-to for Chappelle.

As amusing as the videos are they’ve also led some of the internet to wonder: Why was Chappelle at Kylie’s birthday party?

Some social media users have also expressed their jealousy at Chappelle attending the party.

Chappelle’s appearance comes as a surprise considering he’s told a lot of jokes about Caitlyn Jenner, some of which Kylie reportedly wasn’t a fan of. Back in 2016, the comedian performed in Hollywood and did a bit where he recalled running into Kanye West, and the rapper foreshadowing Jenner’s transition during a brief interaction the two had.

“I said, ‘Kanye, why the long face?’ And Kanye replied, ‘Man, you’ll see,'” Chappelle said. Although the joke was a big hit, Kylie seemed to not receive the joke well, reportedly not offering any laughs for the joke.

Nevertheless, Chappelle was at Kylie’s party and we’ll always be left wondering why he was there in the first place.
