Watch Kyrie Irving Suit Up As An Old Baller For His ‘Uncle Drew’ Movie
The Boston Celtics’ point guard, Kyrie Irving, takes his popular Pepsi character, Uncle Drew, and stars in a movie with former NBA / WNBA stars.
Kyrie Irving will soon be coming up from underneath LeBron James’ shadow in Hollywood, as the talented Boston Celtics point guard is planning on starring in his own movie. Making his first attempt at being on the silver screen, Irving is bringing his popular Pepsi character, Uncle Drew, to the masses in a movie by the same name.
The trailer, which you can see below, dropped a few days ago, and already you can tell this is going to be a fun, heartwarming experience for the kids and hoops fans alike. The plot finds Irving as Uncle Drew recruiting a group of old playground legends to participate in the 50th anniversary of New York City’s legendary Rucker Park.
Featuring NBA and WNBA stars as his compatriots, former players (and Hall of Famers) such as Shaquille O’Neal, Lisa Leslie, Reggie Miller, Nate Robinson and Chris Webber look to add on to the heavy-handed comedic tones in Uncle Drew.
Watch and let us know what you think as Uncle Drew is already scheduled to hit theaters June 29.
