Watch Jordan Peele Respond To Some Of The Best 'Get Out' Fan Theories From Reddit

Following the release of Jordan Peele's wildly successful directorial film debut Get Out, everyone took to the Internet to discuss a number of theories about the movie. Well, now Peele himself has chimed into the discussion, and it is just as insightful as it is hilarious.

From discussing if the film is nothing but the elaborate fantasy of Rod Williams, the TSA agent who rescues Get Out protagonist Chris Washington, to if Get Out is a sequel to Being John Malkovich, Peele basically covers just about every fan theory surrounding his popular movie in this video with Vanity Fair. He also reveals a number of fun facts surrounding the film, such as dialogue changes and parts where he made a cameo (Peele actually voiced the dying deer that appears at the beginning at the movie).

Recently, it was announced that Get Out would be submitted as a comedy at the 2018 Golden Globe Awards, which incited outrage on social media. Ultimately, Peele addressed the news both through his own Twitter account and during an event he was speaking at for the film.

"The problem is, it's not a movie that can really be put into a genre box. Originally, I set out to make a horror movie. I ended up showing it to people and hearing, you know, it doesn't even feel like horror," Peele said. "It's in this thriller world. So it was a social thriller…What the movie is about is not funny. I've had many black people come up to me and say, 'man, this is the movie we've been talking about for a while and you did it.' That's a very powerful thing. For that to be put in a smaller box than it deserves is where the controversy comes from."
