It’s been a week since Jacquees declared himself the King of R&B. The debate rages on.

On Friday (December 14th) one of the kings of comedy (can we call him that?) added his opinion on the topic. Dave Chappelle was at Kardinal Offishall’s holiday party that night. At one point in the evening, Chappelle, who was standing next to Just Blaze, jumped on the mic.
One of the things he did was declare R. Kelly the King of R&B.
“The King of R&B, hate to say it, pees on people,” Chappelle said. “R. Kelly is the King of R&B.” He then started to sing along to Kelly’s 1993 song “Bump n’ Grind.”
Chappelle was referring to R. Kelly’s sex tape leaked in the early 2000s’ which allegedly shows the singer urinating on a 14-year-old girl. Chappelle would later mock R. Kelly on Chappelle’s Show.
At the top of the year, Lifetime will air Surviving R. Kelly: a six-part docuseries exploring the many allegations against R. Kelly.
The six-hour series is set to air in three parts on Thursday, January 3 at 9 p.m. ET/PT; Friday, January 4 at 9 p.m. ET/PT; and Saturday, January 5 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
