Swizz Beatz Says "I Don't Got No Problem" With Justin Timberlake After Calling Him Out On 'Verzuz'

Swizz Beatz clarified remarks he made toward Justin Timberlake during his and Timbaland's Verzuz rematch on Sunday.

During his Verzuz rematch against Timbaland on Sunday (May 30), Swizz Beatz called out Justin Timberlake as Timbaland began to play songs he produced that featured the pop singer. Now, Beatz has clarified his comments directed at Timberlake.

On Monday, Beatz and Timbaland had an Instagram Live session, where Timbaland told Beatz that he "went too hard" on Timberlake.

"Look man, I had to go hard," Beatz said. "You heard how them songs were sounding on that stage? It was like JT was in the building. I was like, 'Man!' You know it's hip-hop. And I was just having fun."

"I don't got no problem with JT, I don't got no problem with nobody," he continued. "We just having fun. It’s called Verzuz. You know, we doing our thing. Shoutout to JT. We can’t wait to get you on stage having fun cause you deserve it too."

The comments Beatz made at Timberlake first came about when Timbaland dropped Jay-Z's "Holy Grail," which features the singer.

"Until you can get Justin Timberlake on Verzuz, I don’t really wanna hear those vocals," Beatz said.

The producer continued on as Timbaland went through other tracks he's produced for Timberlake, including "SexyBack" and "Cry Me A River."

"He gotta admit that he loves the Black culture and he gotta be on this stage," Swizz said before inviting the singer to participate in a Verzuz battle. "You took from the Black culture, you give to the Black culture! Come to Verzuz and be a part of the Black culture!"

Timberlake has been a name fans have requested for a Verzuz matchup for awhile, with many wanting him to go up against Usher — including Drake.

"Drake hit me up about it too. He said, 'We gotta make that happen, we gotta make that happen,'" Timbaland said during an appearance on the Jalen & Jacoby show earlier this year. "Soon to come, soon to come."
