The first trailer for Sony’s A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood was released on Monday. The movie stars Tom Hanks as Fred Rogers, the host of the iconic television series Mister Rogers' Neighborhood — which ran from 1968 to 2001.

A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood tells the story of Rogers and his relationship with journalist Tom Junod. (In the '90s Junod profiled Rogers for Esquire magazine.)
The movie was directed by Marielle Heller from a screenplay by Micah Fitzerman-Blue and Noah Harpster. The movie is set to be released on Thanksgiving.
