Jack Harlow will star in 20th Century Fox reboot of 1992 film White Men Can't Jump with a script co-written by Kenya Barris and Doug Hall.

Jack Harlowhas landed his first lead role. The rapper will make his full-length film debut in a reboot of the 1992 sports comedy White Men Can't Jump which originally starred Wesley Snipes and Woody Harrelson. With Blake Griffin as one of the producers, Kenya Barris and Doug Hall will take the reins of the forthcoming adaptation, while music video filmmaker Calmatic is set to direct. Calmatic — born Charles Kidd IIn— will also be premiering a House Party reboot starring Jacob Lattimore on HBO Max in July.

In the reboot, Harlow will take on Harrelson's role as Billy Hoyle, according to Deadline, but it hasn't been announced whether the film will keep Hoyle's name. Apparently, Harlow's first screen audition was so impressive that he was offered the role on the spot.

Recently, Harlow has been actively making a splash on the court, playing in the 2022 NBA All-Star Celebrity Game. While White Men Can't Jump will be his acting debut, Harlow commentated on Revolt basketball tournament series The Crew League with comedian Druski.

In a recent interview with Variety, Harlow expressed interest in wanting to grow his career beyond music.

"Especially now, I work out of fear," he admits. "I'm terrified to fall off and lose my spot or lose the ground I've covered, or not reach the potential that people see. Every time I sit courtside at these games or go to the Met Gala or maybe the Grammys, what's in my head is 'I've gotta be here next year.' I don't want this to be the last time."

Harlow last debuted new single "Nail Tech" with City Girls member Yung Miami in February, his first solo release of 2022. Following the song's release, Harlow made an appearance at Ye's Donda Experience Performance in Miami to perform their song “Louie Bag.” In April, Harlow may take home a Grammy for Best Melodic Rap Performance shared with Lil Nas X for "Industry Baby".
