Absurdist Adult Swim hit series The Eric Andre Show is returning for a sixth season next year. On Wednesday, the network confirmed the series’ renewal, with a press release describing the comedy as “a fresh era of radical deconstruction and self-examination.”
Also in the press release, Andre declared the new season as “Season 666.”
“Expect more deranged pranks, fire, and chaos in Season 666 with a jam-packed schedule of celebrities I can’t believe agreed to this,” he said.
Confirmed guests on the new season include Tinashe, Rico Nasty, Blac Chyna, Waka Flocka, Cypress Hill, Lil Yachty, Diplo, Meagan Good, Natasha Lyonne, Jaleel White, Raven-Symoné, Daymond John and Jon Hamm. Kitao Sakurai and Jeff Tremaine have also directed the new season.
Last month, Andre appeared in Toro y Moi short film Goes by So Fast, to coincide with the release of Toro’s new album Mahal. In a recent interview with Stereogum, Toro y Moi spoke about appearing on Andre’s series, where he rode a mechanical bull.
“It’s very much Toro in the sense that it’s meta, and it’s very Eric Andre. They didn’t show it, but he was running around the set with a cattle prod, so all of my screaming was real. There was definitely an element of surprise at the scene.”
The sixth season of The Eric Andre Show will air on Adult Swim and HBO Max in 2023.
