Tekashi's lawyer, Lance Lazzaro, filed documents claiming his client is at risk behind bars.

Tekashi 6ix9ine could get home even sooner than we thought possible. According to TMZ, the Brooklyn rapper's lawyer Lance Lazzaro is filing documents to try and get him home to complete his 24-month sentence. If granted, authorities would likely transfer Tekashi to a community correctional facility. The more lenient option would be home confinement.

Tekashi claims his safety is at risk due to his cooperation with authorities. District Judge Paul Engelmayer sentenced Tekashi to a light 24 months in prison on December 18. At the time of the final sentencing, he'd already served 14 months behind bars.

Tekashi pled guilty to nine counts of racketeering, conspiracy, weapons and drug charges. The original indictment detailed Nine Trey's conspiracy to commit murder and armed robbery. 6ix9ine's testimony explained how the gang was involved in distributing heroin, fentanyl, MDMA, and marijuana.

Case documents refer to a video of Tekashi offering a $30,000 bounty to shoot Chief Keef's cousin. Just days after the offer, unknown assailants fired shots at Keef and his cousin in Times Square. 6ix9ine later admitted knowing a fellow Nine Trey member pulled the trigger.

Tekashi's former manager Kifano "Shotti" Jordan received a 15-year prison sentence after pleading guilty to gun charges. Jamel "Mel Murda" Jones received an 11-year sentence for racketeering and narcotics charges. Ahead of Tekashi's final sentencing, prosecutors dismissed one of his gun possession charges.
