T.I. Compares Sexual Assault Investigation to COINTELPRO on New Single

T.I. finally speaks about the ongoing sexual assault investigation on "What It's Come To."

In the past few months, T.I. and his wife Tameka "Tiny" Harris have been the subject of dozens of accusations of sexual assault, drugging, kidnapping, and more. Up until now, the Harrises have mostly spoken through their family attorney Steve Sadow. On a new single titled "What It's Come To," however, T.I. seems to be finally addressing the situation on wax.

"People weird, be projecting all they insecurities," he raps, "whatever they say he did he did that s--t, I'm sure of it."

Later in the verse, he accuses unnamed parties of attempted extortion, says accusers should reveal their identities, and compares the whole situation to the FBI's surveillance program COINTELPRO.

"I'm cranking up the jury, who you lyin' on shawty?" he continues. "Extortion, is that what you got your mind on, shawty?...Go put your face and reputation on it, these kinda claims deserve more than anonymous provocation conversations, don't it? Speak to the people, what you did, we can undo. Welcome to the COINTELPRO part 2."

Earlier this week, Sadow denied claims that the Los Angeles Police Department (or any other departments) had opened an official investigation. “The Harrises have not spoken to or been contacted by the Los Angeles Police Department , the Las Vegas Police Department, or, indeed, any member of law enforcement from any other jurisdiction in the country,” Sadow said. “Even assuming the story in the Daily Beast is close to accurate, it appears the LAPD ‘accuser’ has chosen once again to remain anonymous, thereby preventing us from being in a position to disprove or refute her allegations—or even examine them. Meanwhile, although we now appear for the first time to have the name of an ‘accuser’ who supposedly filed a police report with LVPD, we have absolutely zero details about her or her claim.”
