Social Media Responds to Yung Miami Saying She Wants to Be "The Black Oprah"

In an interview with XXL, Yung Miami declared that she wants to be "The Black Oprah," taking podcast Caresha Please to new heights.

Yung Miami of City Girls has her sights on becoming the next top media personality. In a new interview with XXL, the South Florida rapper shared her future goals for hosting REVOLT podcast Caresha Please.

“I want to take it to the next level,” she said. “I’m dreaming big. I want to go to the highest of the highest. I want to be the Black Oprah.”

The comment instantly became the joke of social media, as billionaire, television producer, talk show host and OWN founder Oprah Winfrey is Black. Despite Yung Miami, who's real name is Caresha Brownlee misspeaking, her podcast hasn't fallen short of special guests, including fellow City Girls member JT, Diddy, Latto, Saweetie, Megan Thee Stallion and Saucy Santana since it premiered in June. Also in her television bag is executive-producing HBO drama-comedy Rap Sh!t with JT.

“People just loving to hear me talk, you know? Whenever I talk or whenever I go on [Instagram] Live, it go viral,” Yung Miami said elsewhere in the interview.

“One day I was talking with Diddy and he was like, ‘Yeah, [you] should do a podcast," she added. "It would be good for you,’ and that’s how it came out. It was just a conversation of me just always going viral off the way I talk and the engagement that I used to get off of Instagram Live.”
