Redman is officially flying high in the friendly skies as a licensed skydiver. On Tuesday (September 6), the Muddy Waters rapper shared with social media followers that after 27 practice jumps and studying for his written exam that he became a qualified skydiver at Skydive Spaceland in Houston. An accompanying clip shows the rapper donning a blue helmet while skydiving before signing off on his license.
“I worked HARD for this !! 27 JUMPS and Studied Hard for my Written Exam and Passed TODAY !!” he wrote on Instagram. “I’m an OFFICIAL A LICENSED SKYDIVER. I’m WILDING IN THE SKIES. Thank You @skydivespaceland_houston For the Experience.”
He continued, “PEDRO your an Excellent Instructor Bro.The Whole SpaceLand Team Thank you..I will See you guys Next time. @skydivesussex Thank you For The Start and Opportunity,I will Be back Jumping In NJ In another Week. GET SUM !!”
In the comment section, some of Redman’s rap peers gave their congratulations, including The LOX’s Sheek Louch and Ja Rule, who revealed that he has “23 jumps to go.”
The company shared a statement along with an image of employees celebrating Redman’s accomplishment:
“From Christina Aguilera’s “Dirrty” to “How High” Redman blessed us with his presence while getting his A License! Now he is apart of our SkyFamily forever! Welcome Home!”
Redman’s long-awaited ninth solo album Muddy Waters 2 is reportedly finished. On September 17, he’s set to c0-headline the Goats of Cannabis festival at Cass County Fairgrounds in Minneapolis. Also slated to appear at the festival include Cheech Marin, Dreka Gates, Trick Trick, Berner and OG Boobie Black.
